Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank

The Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank (TVFB), established January 2015, is a volunteer-powered registered charity.Our mission is to provide healthy, environmentally-responsible and cruelty-free food to community members struggling with poverty and food insecurity.We are committed to providing all vegan-friendly food (at least 50% of which is fresh whole foods) to those in need who are vegetarian, vegan, or actively transitioning to a veg diet.If you are wondering why Toronto needs a vegetarian food bank, watch this video where our volunteer Executive Director, Matt Noble, explains.If any perishable foods are left over when our food bank closes we give them to our partners at the Yonge Street Mission, so that nothing goes to waste.
