Horizons Opioid Treatment Services

Dr. Jameet Bawa obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto  and completed his Family Medicine Residency at St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. It was during his time at St. Mike’s that Dr. Bawa developed a special interest in addiction medicine, specifically those struggling with narcotics.  Dr. Bawa is a certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). He is a hospital physician at the Halton Healthcare Network (Oakville-Trafalgar Hospital).  Currently, he is the Medical Director for Horizons Opioid Treatment Services.

Dr. Bawa is part of the faculty at the University of Toronto, Department of Family and Community Medicine and is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents in both the hospital and community setting. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
